Licensed Practical Nurse, Shift Supervisor, effectively supervises The Meadows Adult Residential Centre and its satellite services. Responsible for supervision of programs, activities, staff deployment, building safety and security. Ensures consistent delivery of quality care/service to the residents/clients. Perform resident care procedures in accordance with the LPN scope of practice. Monitor vital signs and intake and output, and medication administration. Documentation of all aspects of care and completion of reports as required by the facility. Perform admission procedures for resident admitted to home in transfers or visits of residents to special treatments or diagnostic areas. Develop and maintain good public relations with residents and staff and visitors.
• Graduate from approved School of Practical Nurses.
• Eligible for registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Nova Scotia.
