Purpose of the position:
Ø Effective supervision of the Meadows ARC and its satellite services WVSA and CSS/ILS
Ø Ensures consistent delivery of quality care/service to the participants
Ø Performs job requirements under the specific direction of the Director/Assistant Director of Disability Support Programs.
Ø Oversees the activities and effective functioning of the Rehabilitative Care Workers, Recreation Programmers, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Dietary staff in the absence of the department’s manager.
Ø Maintains supportive, caring, professional relationships with participants in a manner appropriate to their individual needs and abilities, supporting inclusion and independence.
Ø Participates in the problem solving, decision-making and quality assurance processes relating to participant care.
Ø Actively participates in Clinic Team discussions and attends/participates in meetings as appropriate.
Ø Maintains effective communication and positive working relationships with other LPN’S, and Management Team Members.
Ø Participates in communication with both Director, Assistant Director, and CEO to discuss issues relating to quality of care, policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Ø Currently licensed as a LPN in Nova Scotia
Ø Successful completion of Pharmacology Course
Ø Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License; available means of transportation.
Ø Current certificate in Standard First Aid and CPR
Ø Non-violent Crisis Intervention training or Mandt
Ø Related experience preferred.
Salary - As per SEIU Collective Agreement
