Position: Permanent Full Time                               Department: Administration

Facility, The Meadows ARC, Bridgetown              Reporting to: Finance Manager

Opening Date: June 11, 2026                                   Closing Date: June 21, 2026

 

Position Scope:         

 

Reporting to the Finance Manager this position will play an integral part of the Finance Department. Duties will be performed in accordance with the Mission, Vision, Values, Standards, Policies and Procedures of Mountain and Meadows Care Group. MMCG is committed to resident safety, continued quality improvement, and advancing the delivery of safe and trusted health services.

 

Primary Responsibilities/Duties

 

-          Processing accounts payable in compliance with financial policies and procedures

-          Generating cheques and online payments on a weekly and monthly basis

-          Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted

-          Maintaining filing for the business office

-          Posting entries

-          Reconciling Vendor statements monthly

-          Maintaining Petty Cash and reconciling

-          Office Supply ordering

-          Perform Bank duties (Preparing deposit and trips to bank)

-          Interoffice mail

-          Perform Bank Day duties for clients

-          Being backup to the AR Specialist

-          Being backup for Payroll when required

-          Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

-          Solid understanding of basic accounting principles

-          Exceptional data entry skills along with an aptitude for numbers

-          High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

-          An ability to work independently and efficiently with other people within the organization

-          Clear Vulnerable Sector check

 

 

 

The following will be considered assets but are not required:

 

  • Someone with experience in the accounting field

·         Previous experience with Long Term Care / Health Care Administration

·         Experience with Xero or SSC

 

 

Shifts: Normally consists of regularly scheduled 8 hours weekdays.

 

Staff are expected to display good judgment in working with residents, staff and volunteers and to present an attitude of respect and cooperation.  Empathy and understanding are to be shown toward others always.

 

Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
