$44.42/hour (Vacation negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities
As part of a collaborative care team, the Occupational Therapist will:
Assess & Support Function: Evaluate residents’ mobility, daily living skills, and equipment needs to enhance independence and safety.
Recommend & Manage Equipment: Coordinate seating/positioning devices, power mobility, and pressure-relieving aids; secure funding through Red Cross, insurance, or private pay.
Oversee Equipment Program: Manage Red Cross equipment process (assessment, ordering, documentation) with inventory support from Rehab Assistant.
Develop Resident-Centered Plans: Set functional goals and implement individualized OT interventions.
Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with families, vendors, and interdisciplinary teams; attend care conferences and committees (Wound Care, Falls Prevention).
Document & Delegate: Maintain accurate clinical records and delegate program follow-ups to the Rehab Assistant.
Communicate Effectively: Share resident progress and updates with families, staff, and the care team.
Support Smooth Transitions: Ensure clear handover of care during transfers between therapists or facilities.
Educate & Elevate: Provide staff training and stay current with best practices in OT and geriatric care.

What You Bring
Degree in Occupational Therapy (Accredited University)
Registered with NSOTR (formerly COTNS)
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
