Join a compassionate, collaborative care team at Mountain Lea Lodge, part of the Mountains and Meadows Care Group.We’re seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support residents in maintaining independence, mobility, and quality of life.

On site Occupational Therapist Mentorship available for new grads

Compensation & Perks

  • $44.42/hour (Vacation negotiable based on experience)

  • $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Key Responsibilities

As part of a collaborative care team, the Occupational Therapist will:

  • Assess & Support Function: Evaluate residents’ mobility, daily living skills, and equipment needs to enhance independence and safety.

  • Recommend & Manage Equipment: Coordinate seating/positioning devices, power mobility, and pressure-relieving aids; secure funding through Red Cross, insurance, or private pay.

  • Oversee Equipment Program: Manage Red Cross equipment process (assessment, ordering, documentation) with inventory support from Rehab Assistant.

  • Develop Resident-Centered Plans: Set functional goals and implement individualized OT interventions.

  • Collaborate & Communicate: Work closely with families, vendors, and interdisciplinary teams; attend care conferences and committees (Wound Care, Falls Prevention).

  • Document & Delegate: Maintain accurate clinical records and delegate program follow-ups to the Rehab Assistant.

Communicate Effectively: Share resident progress and updates with families, staff, and the care team.

Support Smooth Transitions: Ensure clear handover of care during transfers between therapists or facilities.

Educate & Elevate: Provide staff training and stay current with best practices in OT and geriatric care.

 

What You Bring

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy (Accredited University)

  • Registered with NSOTR (formerly COTNS)

  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
